THE BEST ADVICE HE HAS RECEIVED
Continuously seek new skills, techniques, and inspiration.
The world of art and design will continue to evolve, and staying informed and adaptable is key. This includes technical aspects like software but also historical and cultural references that oftentimes influence art and design. Lifelong learning helps artists and designers stay relevant and innovative. It's not just about formal education; it's a mindset of curiosity and a commitment to personal and professional growth.” — Carl Jablonski, Graphic Designer, Design Professor & Parsons Alumni
STEP INTO THE BACKSTORY
Chase Trav is a mid-journey brand designer of 5 years with a pulse of hip-hop/ street culture, an eye for great design, & as Gang Starr says, has that ‘mass appeal’.
He has worked on a wide range of projects, from brand designs to packaging to digital ads for Hot 97 talent such as Funkmaster Flex & Peter Rosenberg. Recently, Chase has continued to master his own technique of ‘shadowboxin’ while he builds his own brand, Paliscena, & vibes in his own ‘Kith’ way.
PERSPECTIVE HE REMEMBERS TO PROMPT SELF-GROWTH
To whom much is given, much is expected.”
One of the many things my art school professor, Angela DeLaura, always told me, “If you have a high level of skill, it is expected to use that skill at a high level. This is both validating and challenging. Keeping this in mind should help with the Imposter Syndrome while also pushing you and giving yourself a chance to prove your talent.”
